CREEP FEEDING GUIDELINES

1. Lambs should have access to creep feed from about 7-10 days of age. Significant intakes of creep will not occur until 3-4 weeks of age.

2. Creep feeds should be offered initially in small quantities.

3. Creep feeds should be replenished regularly and kept fresh.

4. Creep feed should be palatable.

5. Adequate feeding space should be allowed, i.e. 65-75mm trough space/lamb.

6. Lambs should have access to fresh, clean water, once meal feeding commences.

THOMPSONS INTENSIVE LAMB PELLETS and CHAMPION PEDIGREE COARSE feed are ideal for creep feeding of lambs. Both rations contain high levels of cereals and high levels of quality protein (DUP) to enable lambs to achieve maximum growth rates efficiently. Rations are very palatable, helping encourage good feed intakes.
