Balmoral Show 2015

Following on from the success of last year’s hospitality marquee at Balmoral Show, the decision was made for 2015 to provide a relaxing environment and light refreshments for Thompsons’ customers. On its third year at the new location of Balmoral Park, Lisburn, the Thompsons’ stand had its usual position beside the cattle lawn. With glass sides overlooking all the show action, the Thompsons’ marquee provided tea, coffee, scones and a chance to catch up with the sales team in a more informal atmosphere. Over a busy three days, Thompsons presented prizes on the cattle lawn to many different breeds of beef and dairy cattle and for the first year had a presence in the main arena with the Pegus Young Event Horse Championship. Many Thompsons’ customers enjoyed the show with their families, but there were also successes on the cattle lawn, such as the Champion Holstein Cow owned by Adrian and Conor McAufield from Co. Down and the Overall Champion Junior Limousin owned by Henry Savage. The exhibitors all put in a huge amount of work before and during the show, so it is extra special when they are a prize winner that is fed on Thompsons feed!
